Microchipping for pet travel
Travel with an ID

Microchipping is essential for pet travel
Microchipping is a permanent identification that involves injecting a very small chip hardly bigger than a grain of rice under your pet’s skin. If it’s a dog, cat, or rabbit this will be into the scruff of the neck. This can be done at any age. Microchipping is suitable for small mammals, reptiles, birds, and fish. Each microchip has its unique number. Sedation is not required for microchip implantation as this procedure causes minimal discomfort.
It is important to have your animal microchipped because: Firstly, if your animal gets lost, the microchipping system allows the veterinarian to contact you once your animal has been found. Secondly, pets traveling overseas must be microchipped under the Pet Travel Scheme (Pet Passport).
It is necessary to update any changes to personal contact information. Our microchips comply with the international standard (ISO) and can therefore be recognized by scanners abroad when used in the Pet Passport program.
Microchipping and pet passport are necessary for your pet travel. In case of any surgeries, the vet clinic includes it as well.
