Neutering for pets
The neutering procedure is defined as a surgical operation performed under general anaesthesia to remove the animal’s reproductive organs, preventing them from reproducing. In males, it is called castration, and starts in cats and dogs at puberty age from 6 months. In females, it is called spaying, and starts after menstruation by at least 2 months in dogs and cats

Taking into consideration that all anaesthesia comes with some form of risk, however, these are very low. Risk level increase with a pet’s age, certain breeds and if your pet has any underlying health conditions. So, it is strongly recommended to perform a blood test before surgery to detect any underlying illnesses. Please note that a signature must be gained from the owner (over 18) on the consent form.
